This participation marks Jakarta&#8217;s<br \/>\ndebut as an independent destination at this highly influential B2B travel trade<br \/>\nshow specifically targeting the Chinese market, serving as a key component of<br \/>\nthe city&#8217;s grand strategy to achieve Top 50 Global City status. <\/p>\n<p>ITB China 2026 has set a new record,<br \/>\nfeaturing over 900 travel organizations from 85 countries and regions, 1,700<br \/>\ncurated buyers, and over 46,000 scheduled business meetings. This year&#8217;s<br \/>\nedition completely sold out despite a 20% increase in exhibition space,<br \/>\nreflecting the exceptionally high global demand for the continuously growing<br \/>\nChinese travel market. <\/p>\n<p>China has consistently been one of<br \/>\nthe largest sources of foreign tourists for Indonesia and Jakarta. With the<br \/>\npost-pandemic tourism recovery strengthening, demand from Chinese tourists for<br \/>\nSoutheast Asian destinations has increased significantly. With 1,700 buyers in<br \/>\nattendance\u201434% of whom focus on luxury and customized travel, and 25% on MICE<br \/>\n(Meetings, Incentives, Conventions, and Exhibitions)\u2014ITB China 2026 presents a<br \/>\ngolden opportunity for Jakarta to attract high-value market segments. <\/p>\n<p>&#8220;ITB China 2026 is a strategic<br \/>\nstage to convince Chinese and Asian tourism industry players that Jakarta is no<br \/>\nlonger just a transit city. We have prepared highly competitive MICE products,<br \/>\nheritage tourism, and world-class shopping experiences,&#8221; stated Andhika<br \/>\nPermata, Head of the Jakarta Provincial Tourism and Creative Economy Agency. <\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Jakarta offers a unique appeal<br \/>\nas an urban destination that seamlessly blends modernity with rich cultural<br \/>\nheritage. Disparekraf DKI Jakarta remains committed to expanding its<br \/>\ntourism promotional reach, building strategic partnerships with global industry<br \/>\nplayers, and creating memorable travel experiences for every guest visiting<br \/>\nJakarta. <\/p>\n<p>Capitalizing on the momentum of ITB<br \/>\nChina 2026, Jakarta proudly brought 10 leading tourism delegates. These<br \/>\nparticipants included the Jakarta chapter of the Indonesian Hotel and<br \/>\nRestaurant Association (PHRI); Taman Safari Indonesia, promoting educational,<br \/>\nconservation, and underwater entertainment tourism; the PIK Tourism Board,<br \/>\nshowcasing Jakarta&#8217;s newest tourism districts; and top-tier Destination<br \/>\nManagement Companies (DMCs) such as Universal Tour &amp; Travel, Nusaraya<br \/>\nInternational Tour and Travel, and Dwidaya Wisata Indonesia. Premium<br \/>\naccommodations, including Gran Melia Jakarta and Novotel Jakarta Mangga Dua<br \/>\nSquare, were also highlighted. Furthermore, Jakarta promoted authentic<br \/>\nNusantara culinary experiences through Plataran Indonesia and introduced the<br \/>\ncity as a premier golf destination in collaboration with Baltic Golf Travel<br \/>\nSpecialist. <\/p>\n<p>Jakarta&#8217;s presence went beyond<br \/>\nmerely exhibiting; the goal was to forge long-term partnerships. During the<br \/>\nevent, the Jakarta Provincial Government&#8217;s booth received significant<br \/>\nenthusiasm from visitors, generating 336 potential leads with an estimated value<br \/>\nof IDR 53,394,561,990. Driven by this remarkable achievement, Jakarta is fully<br \/>\nprepared to welcome more tourists and business professionals from China with<br \/>\nworld-class, friendly, and safe services.
